Tempus Fugit. Mementi Mori. These Latin phrases summarize the message this week. "Time flies; remember death." In his homily, Fr. Steve focuses on the second reading, St. Paul's Letter to the Colossians, and underscores the freedom we can gain by focusing on the things of heaven and the command to "put to death the parts of us that are earthly." Jesus makes clear the temptations of riches. We need to live here with our eyes on heaven, so that we can live and give here so as to become "rich in what matters to God."
